Privacy policy

This policy explains how Siftyn collects, uses, protects, and deletes information when organizations use our company-search and connected-data service.

Information we process

We process account details such as name, email address, organization membership, and authentication identifiers; administrator-authorized content and records from connected services; encrypted connection credentials; and limited usage, diagnostic, and security logs needed to operate and protect Siftyn.

Shopify data

When a merchant authorizes Shopify, Siftyn retrieves catalog information and operational order data needed for company search and analysis. The Shopify connector does not request customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or billing or shipping addresses. Siftyn uses Shopify data only to provide features requested by the merchant and does not sell it or use it for advertising.

How we use information

We use information to provide search, retrieval, citations, connector synchronization, access control, support, reliability, fraud prevention, and security. Customer content is not used to train AI models.

Sharing and service providers

We disclose information only to service providers that help us operate Siftyn, when an organization directs us to do so, or when required by law. Providers are limited to the information needed to perform their services and are subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Security and retention

Siftyn encrypts connector credentials, separates customer workspaces, applies permission-aware retrieval, and records security-relevant activity. We retain connected data while the connection or customer account remains active and remove it following disconnection, a valid deletion request, or account closure, subject to limited backup, security, and legal-retention needs.

Your choices and rights

Workspace administrators can disconnect sources and manage member access. Individuals may request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available under applicable law by contacting us. Shopify privacy requests are also accepted through Shopify’s mandatory compliance process.
